Burger King Wraps up ‘Kids Choice’ Awards Sweeps

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Burger King is in the final days of a sweepstakes with partner Nickelodeon that will send 25 families to the 22nd annual “Kids Choice Awards” in Los Angeles.

Customers enter codes from specially marked packages of BK Fresh Apple Fries and small, medium and large soft drinks to enter through Jan. 29. Burger King will select 25 winners (one per day). Each will receive airfare for four, transportation to and from Nickelodeon’ s “Kids’ Choice Awards,” hotel accommodations and $500 spending money.

More than 19,000 entrants have signed up for the sweepstakes since it launched on Jan. 5.

The fast food chain has partnered with Nickelodeon on the award show for the last 10 years. But this year, the number of prizes has increased, Cindy Syracuse, senior director, cultural marketing, of Burger King Corp, said in a statement. The show is slated to air on March 28.

Online banners ads, print ads and in-restaurant P-O-P support the promotion. Wunderman is handling the sweepstakes, banner ads and P-O-P and Campbell-Mithun is responsible for the print ads.
