Burger King Serves Soldiers in Middle East

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

U.S. soldiers stationed in the Middle East get a special promo featuring Burger King.

The foodservice operations of the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) will run a six-week sweeps awarding daily, weekly and one grand-prize of AAFES gift certificates, from $100 (daily) to $500 (grand-prize).

The sweeps stars a cartoon “Grill Instructor” dressed in fatigues—and later this year, a Santa suit. Draft, Chicago, handles.

“With nearly 200,000 troops on the ground who visit AAFES facilities, we sought to create a promotion to provide both a little entertainment and a fun diversion for the troops and their families,” says Richard Sheff, VP of AAFES’ Food and Theater Division, in a statement.

AAFES runs food and retail stores for soldiers overseas.
