Convenience store chain White Hen Pantry will distribute 30,000 samples and coupons as part of its sponsorship of the Chicago Cubs’ Aug. 29 game at Wrigley Field.

Chicago-based White Hen will give away samples of its private-label Pantry Select chips and coupons for its Hot & Fresh deli sandwiches at the baseball game. PromoWorks, Schaumburg, IL, handles.

White Hen has upgraded delis in 160 of its stores this year and plans to revamp the rest of its 217 stores over the next six to 10 months.

“Our competition now includes grocery stores and QSRs,” said marketing manager Ari Frank.

The Cubs sampling supports White Hen’s ongoing ad campaign themed “What You Hunger For.” In June, White Hen and partner Kraft Foods distributed coupons for Oreo Polar Blend iced drinks at a Chicago Fire soccer game, also via PromoWorks.
