Sunny Delight Tours Sample New Smoothies

Sunny Delight Beverages Co. is embarking on two road trips to introduce a new product, SunnyD Smoothies.

One six-month tour will make stops in more than 50 cities in 22 states where brand reps will hand out samples of the new smoothies, fortified with calcium and Vitamin D, available in two flavors: Orange Whirl and Strawberry Swirl.

The theme of the tours, in partnership with Cosi, a science center in Ohio, is Move, Laugh, Think.

At each event, kids can play science-based games and Sunny Delight will donate games and supplies to local youth recreation centers.

The second mobile tour, called the SunnyD Hip Hop Stop, includes sampling at major events and youth recreation centers across the country. The 14-week tour begins next month and will encourage kids to “Move, Laugh, Think” through dance. The events will feature dancers from Philadelphia’s Chosen Dance Co., an organization committed to enhancing global understanding of Hip Hop culture and building appreciation for hip hop as an art form among people of all walks of life.

A supporting Web site offers Road Trip maps identifying tour stop locations; a history of SunnyD and information about dance and science. Visitors can also register to win one of three Orlando family vacation packages and a number of $100 gas cards.
