Spalding Searching For AFL Fan of the Year

Sporting goods manufacturer Spalding has launched a 13-week multi-channel sweepstakes in search of the AFL’s Fan of the Year.

Fans can register at Arenafootball.com, sign-up for a personalized fan page and track their fan participation. Throughout the promotion, participants can increase their chances to win by entering individual four-digit fan codes by visiting AFL retailers, purchasing Spalding footballs, watching AFL games on NBC, signing up to participate in the league’s fantasy football contests, attending AFL games and by visiting the league’s online store. No purchase to enter is necessary.

Each Friday, one fan will be randomly selected as the Fan of the Week for each AFL team, a season total of 221 winners, who will each receive a Spalding leather “Coach’s Portfolio” and become eligible to win the ArenaBowl trip.

The 17 team winners will be announced on May 6. ( PROMO P&I, Jan. 19). Each team winner will receive a trip for two to ArenaBowl XIX Las Vegas, which includes round-trip airfare, four hotel nights, two tickets to ArenaBowl XIX Las Vegas weekend events and a Spalding AFL football.

The grand-prize winner will be announced during the ArenaBowl on June 12, and will be a part of the on-field VIP post game celebration with the ArenaBowl XIX winning team, a Spalding AFL autographed football and two season tickets for the 2006 regular season.
