General Mills touts a new Old El Paso dinner kit with a recipe contest for kids.

The Stand ‘N Stuff Contest asks kids to submit taco recipes using the new Stand ‘N Stuff taco shells. Grand prize is a family trip to Walt Disney World; four finalists win $500 each.

Kids ages eight to 14 mail in their recipe and a photo. Entries are judged on creativity, appearance, taste and ease of preparation. The contest runs through Nov. 10. Minneapolis-based General Mills handles in-house.

Stand ‘N Stuff Taco dinner kits have wide, flat-bottomed taco shells, salsa and seasonings. Sales of Old El Paso taco kits fell 5.5% to $123 million while the category grew 5.4% to $787 million for 52 weeks ended Aug. 8, per Information Resources Inc. Old El Paso is the No. 2 brand in the category with a 15.6% share (behind Guerrero’s 19% share at $150 million), per IRI.
