McFarlane Toys Rolls Out Halo Points Rewards Program

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

McFarlane Toys is rewarding die-hard “Halo” action-figure collectors for their loyalty with a new rewards program that lets people collect UPC codes for prizes.

The “Halo Points” allows collectors swap UPC codes off of the Halo action figure line for a variety of prizes. Redemption certificates can be downloaded.

For 100 points, people can receive a limited edition lithograph illustrated by “Spawn” creator Todd McFarlane and series artist Greg Capullo. Other prizes include upgrades for Halo action figures, including a Hayabusa scabbard and sword for 175 points. The top prize at 500 points is a metallic gold Master Chief action figure.

The toy line is based on the popular “Halo 3” video game. The program, which runs through Nov. 30, is the first of its kind for the “Halo” property.

On-pack materials and online marketing supports the program.
