Kodak Builds Customers for Prints with NASCAR

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Eastman Kodak Co. is leveraging its NASCAR sponsorship with a sweepstakes and promotion that allows consumers who are making prints at one of its locations to receive a NASCAR souvenir photo.

Beginning yesterday, both the printers and collectible photos will direct consumers to participate in an online sweepstakes at Kodak.com, which offers prizes ranging from NASCAR jackets and helmets to a grand prize behind-the-scenes experience at an upcoming race.

While the printers are idle, a video loop encourages consumers to print out one of 11 collectible photos and enter the sweepstakes. In-store advertising, posters and tear-cards promote the campaign, and a free-standing insert with Kodak coupons appeared in newspapers nationwide on March 13. The promotion ends May 16.

NASCAR driver photos available at the kiosks include: Kevin Harvick, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Rusty Wallace, Brendan Gaughan, Bobby Labonte, Tony Stewart, Dale Jarrett, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne and Jeremy Mayfield.

The promo and sweeps, created to generate brand awareness for the in-store photo kiosks, is handled by Eric Mower and Associates, Atlanta.

Eastman Kodak has more than 15,000 locations participating in the promotion.
