Jones Soda and Nintendo Team to Capture Teens

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

In a search for teen soda sippers and gamers, Jones Soda Co. and Nintendo of America are out with an under-the-cap sweepstakes that dangles plenty of entertainment.

Labels on Jones Soda include information on the promotion and the bottles are topped with black caps, thus the name of the game, Under the Black Cap. Limited-edition labels, Blue Bubblegum, Green Apple and Fufu Berry flavored soda, include images of Nintendo’s upcoming Nintendo DS title, Metroid Prime Hunters.

Kids who collect five bottle caps with letters that spell out J.O.N.E.S. get a chance at the grand or first prize.

One grand-prize winner gets a flat screen TV, a Nintendo GameCube video game system, two Nintendo DS video game systems, three Nintendo GameCube games, two Nintendo DS video games and a chance at $25,000 in cash. Some 75 first-prize winners get a Nintendo DS video game system.

Instant win prizes include caps and T-shirts. The promotion runs through Oct. 31 in the U.S. and western Canada.
