Hershey Foods Corp. and Super Bowl quarterbacks Donovan McNabb and Tom Brady are giving consumers a chance to win $1 million in an online sweepstakes being held this week.

Hershey’s Big Showdown allows consumers to enter their predictions at
Hersheys.com on which quarterback will win the Big Game this Sunday, the final score and each quarterback’s total passing yards. All entrants who make accurate predictions will share the $1 million prize. Consumers can enter through 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Because the NFL does not allow non-sponsors to use its team names, logos or trademarks, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb represents Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady represents Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars.

The sweeps is being promoted with in-store displays, at Hersheys.com, via radio ads and a display ad in USA Today. The in-store displays ask consumers to enter a Hershey’s or Reese’s product bar-code when entering the contest. Hershey’s spokesperson Laura Dihel said the UPC code is being used to track entries by product, and that consumers that do not make a purchase can use a generic code provided on the Web site.
