Hallmark Channel Rolls Out Valentine’s Day Sweeps

The Hallmark Channel is out with a new holiday sweepstakes that dangles a trip for two to Los Angeles and a VIP visit to the set of a Hallmark Channel Original movie.

Starting Jan. 27, consumers can register at Hallmark Channel’s Web site or make an in-store purchase at participating Hallmark Gold Crown Stores through Feb. 14.

The sweepstakes is tied to Hallmark Channel’s Feb 4 movie premiere of Falling In Love With the Girl Next Door at 9 p.m. ET. The movie, which stars Shelley Long and Patty Duke, tells the story of Betsy and Bridget, two strong-willed women who have battled for decades over who throws the best Halloween party on Catalina Island. When Bridget’s daughter, Theresa, falls in love with the boy next door, Betsy’s son, the two women try to put their differences aside—— the sake of their children.

As part of the promotion, Hallmark Channel subscribers can receive a 20% discount offer for Hallmark Flowers provided by their cable provider.

In addition to the sweepstakes, participating affiliates plan to air cross-channel spots to support Hallmark Channel’s original movies and the sweepstakes. Every customer from the 450 participating affiliate markets that registers will also be entered to win an exclusive DVD three-pack of Hallmark Channel original movies.
