Ford Teams With Home Depot for Incentives and Sweepstakes

Ford Motor Co. has teamed with do-it-yourself retailer The Home Depot for a pair of promotions designed to raise brand awareness for both.

In addition to five different Home Depot gift packages being offered as incentives for consumers buying or leasing a new truck, an online sweepstakes gives consumers a chance to win a Ford F-150 SuperCrew Lariat or a $10,000 Home Depot gift card.

Ford trucks will also be showcased at more than 1,600 Home Depot locations nationwide, and Home Depot packages will be on display at 3,800 U.S. Ford dealerships.

“Through this campaign, we can extend our previous marketing relationship with Ford,” said Roger Adams, senior VP-Marketing, The Home Depot, in a statement.

The two teamed for a one-day promotion last fall for a regional promotion to roll out a Ford Super Duty truck, and generated more than 30,000 leads and 7,000 test drives at Home Depot locations.

Each of the five packages being offered to truck buyers includes products that can be purchased at Home Depot stores, and are valued at up to $870. In lieu of a package, truck buyers can opt for a $500 Home Depot gift card.

The Outdoor Living package includes a Weber grill and accessories and the Power package includes several power tools and a case. The Garage Storage package includes a storage system and cabinets, and the outdoor maintenance package includes a power washer and various landscaping tools.
