Brinker International Offers $25,000 Survey Incentive

When it comes to guest satisfaction, restaurant owner Brinker International, Inc. is pulling out all the stops, offering patrons a $25,000 incentive to answer survey questions designed to help improve customer service.

The Dallas-based multi-chain restaurant operator is offering consumers a chance to enter its $25,000 sweepstakes for completing is guest satisfaction survey. Consumers who dine at any Chili’s Grill & Bar, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, Maggiano’s Little Italy and Corner Bakery Café restaurant can enter.

Patrons who visit one of the restaurants and complete the online survey within three days will be entered into the sweepstakes. The survey asks guests to rate their dining experience, including the service, food quality and restaurant atmosphere.

“There is nobody better to tell us how we are doing than our guests,” said Chris Barnes, spokesperson for Brinker International. “Knowing what your customers think about the job you are doing is important to any business. The guest satisfaction survey is…a way of gauging how we are doing.

“Most people could think of a lot of things they could do with $25,000,” Barnes added. “It’s a real and legitimate offering backed by a Fortune 500 company with solid reputation in food service.”

The restaurant operator tabulates the survey data and sends it to each chain for review to give restaurant operators opportunities for improvement, Barnes said. Brinker International operates more than 1,500 restaurants in 49 states and 24 counties.

And so far, the incentive, which is being offered for its second year, has paid off. The survey has resulted in “strong feedback” from patrons, Barnes said. Each quarter, Brinker on average receives 400,000 to 500,000 patron responses, he added.

The company awards one consumer the $25,000 grand prize each quarter. The latest sweepstakes runs through June 29. A drawing will take place on July 20 by an outside company. The sweepstakes is open to consumers 18 and older. Internet materials support.
