Timex Seeks Faces for Print Ads

The Timex Corp. this week broke a national contest to find eight consumers to appear in print ads next year.

The New Faces of Timex campaign supports the fall launch of seven Indiglo watch models (with different light-up colors) in Timex’s fashion, sport and outdoor product lines.

Contest entrants submit their photo at Newfacesoftimex.com. Fifty entries, chosen at random, will be posted on the site in December; consumers vote for their fave. The top eight vote-getters win $10,000 each and a spot in Timex’s upcoming print and outdoor ad campaign. The 50 finalists each win a watch. All entries will be included in a photo mosaic.

A simultaneous instant-win game lets consumers enter an on-pack code via cell phone or online by Nov. 26 to vie for one of 250 instant-win prizes including a Dell plasma TV, notebook computer, desktop PC, MP3 player or photo printer; a Canon Elph camera; or a Timex watch.

Retailer-specific versions of the photo contest and the instant-win game run at Sports Authority, Gart’s Sports, Oshmans and Sportmart. Ryan CMG, Westport, CT, handles for Middlebury, CT-based Timex.
