Untangling the Web

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Marketers who run Web promos on partner sites should check out IQ.com. The Saratoga, CA, company centralizes execution, so a marketer can use a desktop computer to create, execute, and track a promotion on several sites. Marketers can create their own network of sites for promotions, then update or replace a promo on the entire network once, rather than calling Webmasters at all partner sites.

The one-stop setup works well for consumers, too: IQ.com can link online sales to related sites, so consumers can buy an item featured on a second site without leaving the first one. That solves click-through fatigue, and gives marketers an immediate promotion and sales presence anywhere they have banner ads. Marketers set up an account at IQ.com to access prefabricated promotions they can customize to their brands. The system manages loyalty programs and promos including storefronts, online or printable coupons, and sweepstakes. Users don’t need to download software, and can access the system to make changes any time. Service fees are five cents to 40 cents per click, depending on volume.
