Schick Quattro Tour Evokes Shaving, Sans the Shower

The Grove in Los Angeles has become a gathering place for throngs of women—young and oldish—since the sexy actor Mario Lopez began hosting the entertainment news show “Extra” from that location making it the perfect spot for the Schick Quattro for Women Disposables razor brand to kick off its mobile marketing tour on Saturday.

The tour, “Shower Your Senses,” will do its best to create the experience of a woman shaving her legs in the shower without anyone actually having to get wet.

Visitors to the locations will be greeted by the scent of raspberry, a nod to Schick’s partnership with Skintimate Signature Scent and its Raspberry Rain, which scents the handles of the razors. Soothing sounds of rain will play as visitors get hand massages and eat raspberry candy. They can then step into a shower booth to have a photo taken and, of course, will receive samples.

Following the event in Los Angeles, the bus will travel to 15 cities from San Francisco to Denver to Atlanta to New York, before winding down in Washington, DC, on July 15.

Teen sensations Blair and Elle Fowler are promoting the tour through their Web site. Through a video, Elle invited her fans to the Los Angeles kick off event.

A sweepstakes at the “Shower Your Senses” Facebook page offers a chance to win a spa getaway at the JW Marriot Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix. Weekly prizes include spa-themed gift packs or fashionable rain gear. Twitter followers can track the path of the tour.
