Two former executives from the music Web site SpiralFrog.com Robin Kent and Lance Ford have founded Digital Rebel, a new interactive services advertising agency with a mission to promote ad supported Web sites that offer music downloads.

New York-based Rebel Digital plans to sell advertising and develop marketing plans to drive traffic to music Web sites. Its key target audience will be individuals 13 to 34.

Its first client is Qtrax, an Internet music and file sharing service that’s expected to be launched in September. Qtrax has lined up music distribution deals with several music companies.

Qtrax has deals in place with Universal Music Publishing, Sony/AV, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, The Orchard, EMI Music Publishing, EMI Music, TVT Records, Go Digital, ASCAP and BMI.
