Philips Norelco Dangles Rebates for Father’s Day

Philips Norelco is out with an on-pack promotion for its electric shavers and groomers just in time for Father’s Day.

The essence of the Upgrade Your Shave. Rev Up Your Stuff promotion lets shoppers buy a Philips Norelco electric razor or trimmer and then access rebates for purchasing a host of other Philips Norelco products.

On-pack messaging and in-store materials drive purchase of the razors. In-pack messaging along with an access code drives customers to UpGradeYourShave.com where they register and then enter the code to access the $500 rebate offer, which can be used to purchase a whole host of Philips Norelco products including consumer electronics, lighting, Senseo single serve coffee makers, Sonicare electric toothbrushes and more.

An instant-win sweeps component dangles a 2006 Jaguar S-TYPE 3.0, worth about $46,000, as well as other prizes including, a HeartStart Home Defibrillator, Sonicare IntelliClean Systems, Philips ShoqBox Compact Sound Systems, coffee pot brewers and grooming kits.

“This is a fully integrated program that will drive category volume by reminding consumers to upgrade to the latest electric shaving technology,” said Jamie Klein, VP, Source Marketing, Inc., Westport, CT.

Ten-second tags on 30-second TV spots and local radio in 14 markets support the national campaign. The promotion runs through Father’s Day, June 18.
