Panasonic’s Mobile Tour Showcases High-Tech Products

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Panasonic Consumer Electronics Co. has embarked on a national mobile marketing tour, launched last week during the 2004 Indianapolis 500.

The program is designed to bring the excitement of Panasonic’s Indy Racing League Super Aguri Fernandez Racing team sponsorship and the company’s high-tech line of products to major electronics retailers and their customers during the next nine IRL race weekends.

To drive prospects and customers to participating retailers, a 40-foot trailer was transformed into a rolling showcase of Panasonic’s newest products, such as D-Snap A/V devices, Diga DVD recorders, the latest Viera plasma televisions and Professional Power Tools.

Supported by IRL drivers and the Panasonic IRL show racecar, the tour stops at an average of three retailers in strategic markets. Race ticket and t-shirt giveaways, as well as retailer Web promotions and print ads, promote the tour’s arrival dates. Next Marketing of Atlanta is handling the tour.
