Audi is launching a national driving tour this month to give consumers in five major markets a chance to do more than kick the tires on a range of its cars.

The driving experiences will offer two programs: a complimentary two-hour introductory session and a paid half-day enthusiast program. The free program provides basics on handling, braking, control and safety in he Audi TT, A4 Q7 and news S5. The enthusiast program gives wanna-be Audi drivers more seat time in those Audi models.

The events will take place at Homestead Miami Speedway, Chicago’s Autobahn Country Club, New York’s Pocono Raceway, California Speedway in Los Angeles and Sonoma’s Infineon Raceway.

The programs begin July 28-31 in Miami and run through October, concluding with events October 28-31 in Chicago.

A third program, the Audi sports car experience, takes place at an Audi-branded trackside facility in Sonoma run by Emotive Experiential Performance and features driving instruction in high-performance Audi cars including the R8, RS 4, S8 and S5.

“The Audi experience gives you the opportunity to experience real-world driving in a safe and controlled environment,” said Scott Keogh, chief marketing officer at Audi of America, in a statement.

The program aims to plug the company’s Truth in Engineering campaign by providing information and a direct experience with Audi products. The company estimates that 10,000 consumers will participate in its driving tour over the next several months.
