One of the most recognizable mascots across the globe, Ronald McDonald, has been forced into hiding after a rash of creepy clowns have been terrorizing children across the country, including at least one child who was chased by a clown with a knife.
McDonald’s released a statement saying that the fast-food chain is being “thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald’s participation in community events” as a result of the “current climate around clown sightings in communities.”
Media outlets have shown images of clowns standing along roadways carrying long rifles or Machetes and others popping out of the woods or running across roads. Police across the country are warning people who dress as scary clowns to frighten kids that there will be serious consequences. Read the article …
