Quaker Launches 90-Calorie Bars Online

Quaker Oats Co. has launched Chewy 90 Calorie granola bars with an online game that leverages ads starring its iconic “Quaker Man” spokesman and promotes sampling.

Consumers visit Quakersnackbars.com and register to play the instant-win game for a chance to win a free box of 90 Calorie bars. The game shows the Quaker Man statue—familiar from TV and print ads—standing in the middle of an office. Hands reach in to grab the loose granola bars off the silver tray he holds; if the hands leave the box on his tray, the player wins. Quaker will give away 1,200 coupons for a free box of bars.

An FSI that dropped earlier this week supports. The game runs through June 17. Noble & Associates, Springfield, MO, handles for PepsiCo-owned Quaker.
