Names in the News Acquires Pacific Lists

Names in the News Inc. has acquired Pacific Lists Inc. Terms have not been disclosed.

Oakland, CA-based Names in the News plans to expand list management and brokerage services in the health, self-improvement, education and cultural markets. The company has been in business since 1969.

Names In the News’ clients include Care Inc., U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Common Cause, United Farm Workers, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Simon Wiesenthal Center, Ms. Magazine, Union of Concerned Scientists and the Jane Goodall Institute, among other organizations.

Pacific Lists founded in 1974 will retain its name, existing staff and offices located in Corte Madera, CA.

Its client relationships include Amos Press, California Academy of Sciences, California State Parks Foundation, Co-op America, Doctors Without Borders, Harvard Medical School, Golden Gate Park Conservancy, Marin Agricultural Land Trust, Monterey Bay Aquarium, New School University, Oakland Museum, Pacifica Radio Foundation, Psychology Today and Tricycle Magazine.
