Consumers had a chance to turn personal bad taste into a fashion windfall in a promo designed to push digital pictures. Rochester, NY-based Eastman Kodak Co. worked with America Online, Dulles, VA, to offer a $2,500 designer wardrobe to the person who submitted a photo of the worst crime against fashion. The prize came from Brandmania.com, an Internet retailer that sells brand-name fashion.

Three second-place winners got a Kodak digital camera. Ten third-place winners received a year’s worth of free photo digitizing through either Kodak’s PhotoNet or AOL’s You’ve Got Pictures services. The effort ran two months.
