NBC, New York City, and its ValueVision International and NBCi divisions have partnered with Polo Ralph Lauren, New York City, to launch Ralph Lauren Media with Internet, broadcast, cable TV, and print. NBC will provide $150 million in ad time (network, cable, and Internet) and up to $50 million in cash via ValueVision in a 30-year joint-venture unveiled early last month. The first venture will be Polo.com, launching fourth-quarter 2000 with clothing, housewares, and gift items. NBCi’s Snap.com makes Polo.com an anchor tenant on its shopping portal; ValueVision handles fulfillment and customer service.
