Viking Office Products Sets Sail for Japan

VIKING OFFICE PRODUCTS K.K., Tokyo, will begin catalog sales of office products to small and medium-sized businesses in Japan early next year. The company incorporated last month with a paid-in capital of 50 million yen as a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S.-based Viking Office Products Inc. Viking Office Products K.K.’s call center is in its Tokyo headquarters. The company is establishing a distribution center near Fuji City for overnight delivery to more than 75% of Japan. Next-day delivery will be offered to most destinations throughout Japan free of charge. Viking operates 22 facilities in 11 countries with worldwide revenues of about $1.5 billion and more than 2.5 million active customers in the United States, Europe and Australia.
