Nickelodeon Launches Slime Tour

Posted on

Nickelodeon’s infamous slime is hitting the road.

The network is rolling out a national tour to give fans a chance to get slimed. The Slime Across America tour kicks off Monday at the Nick Hotel in Orlando, FL, and will visit 20 cities.

The 18-wheel Slime Mobile will offer games and attractions, including an interactive stage show. In addition, kids can create content for Nickelodeon at a station for possible air on me:tv, the network’s new interactive day program.

Not only that, the tour will include Nickelodeon costume character appearances.

The mobile tour leads up to the Kids Choice Awards on March 31 and will drop by another 30 locations throughout the year.

“Nickelodeon has a long and storied history with slime,” said Pam Kaufman, executive vice president of Nickelodeon marketing and worldwide partnerships in a statement. “So what better way to reconnect America with the green goo and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Kids’ Choice Awards than by painting the country with slime all year long?”

TV spots on Nickelodeon and online ads will support the tour. Oasis, Seattle, handles the events and the Slime Mobile vehicle.
