5 Mistakes That Can Destroy Display Advertising Campaigns

Oops - mistakeDisplay advertising has endured a lot of criticism recently, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s still a significant medium. According to IAB and PwC’s report recapping online advertising in 2012, display-related advertising (i.e., display/banner ads, rich media, digital video and sponsorship) accounted for $12.0 billion in revenue in 2012, or 33 percent of total revenues during the year.

That said, there are tangible fixes for display advertising, human error the most prominent of all, according to Ben Plomian, vice president of marketing and partnerships at Chango, writing for Convince & Convert. He points out five human-driven mistakes that can kill display ad campaigns:
