EA Sports Teams with Hot Sauce for Football and Gulf Cleanup

“The Original” Louisiana Hot Sauce is partnering with the EA Sports division of video game maker Electronic Arts on a football-based sweepstakes promotion playing off the natural links of football, video games and spicy snacking.

From now through September 26 visitors can go to a microsite, and fill out an online form to enter the sweepstakes. Contestants can enter once a day from a single e-mail address until the contest is closed.

The grand prize winner of the sweepstakes, chosen in a random drawing on September 27, will receive a gift card for the cost of a 32-inch plasma TV, along with a gaming console and a $600 portfolio of EA sports video games., along with a year’s supply of Louisiana Hot Sauce.

Reinforcing the brand partnership, EA Sports will also offer a $5 discount on online game purchases through a special landing page on its site. users are asked to insert a unique discount code from a specially marked package of Louisiana hot Sauce to claim the discount.

In addition, for every discount redeemed in this way, EA Sports will donate $5 to the Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund.

“The Gulf region is home to our EA Tiburon [Florida] studio and EA north American test Center, so contributing to the Gulf oil Spill restoration Fund is something we are very passionate about,” EA Sports senior director of partnership marketing Christopher Erb said in a release. “We’re proud to work with Louisiana Hot Sauce on a promotion that benefits our fans, and the Gulf region.”
