Marketers—Budgets—Up on Economic Optimism

A new CMO survey is giving agencies a reason to celebrate: a 46% increase in optimism about the U.S. economy from leaders in marketing.

marketing budgets upThese marketers expect all customer indicators to improve this year and reported that marketing budgets would increase. This article also reveals what marketers will be spending on—some surprises here as far as percent increases—and the outlook for hiring.

Reports indicate that 2015 will be a strong year. GDP growth is up, the U.S. jobs market is improving with unemployment at 5.8%, consumer confidence is up, and so, too, is retail spending, a new report from Profit Confidential says.
