LocBox Gets $5.1 Million to Help Businesses Run Loyalty-Focused Marketing Campaigns

LocBoxLocBox has raised $5.1 million to help it in its quest to assist businesses running marketing campaigns to build long-term loyalty. The San Francisco-based startup positions itself as an alternative to Groupon and LivingSocial, one that is aimed at building loyalty and not running one-time promotions. LocBox aims to offer businesses a single dashboard to pull in their efforts on social media and email platforms. The founder was inspired by his parents, who are both small-business owners. He claims that LocBox has better email and social media targeting algorithms for businesses than the likes of Constant Contact and MailChimp. (VentureBeat)
