Diamond Suits Up for Emerald Bowl

Diamond Foods will treat football fans to a little snack at the Emerald Bowl this month.

Diamond will sample its new Emerald brand trail mix at the Dec. 27 game.

The trail mix line launched last spring with three flavors: Breakfast Blend (walnuts, almonds, granola, apples and cranberries); Tropical Blend (walnuts, cashews, mango, pineapple, banana and coconut) and Berry Blend (walnuts, peanuts, granola, yogurt raisins, blueberries, cranberries and strawberries). The line is positioned as healthy, natural alternatives to other snacks.

Diamond will distribute 2.25-oz. bags of trail mix during the game.

Diamond also will run 10 TV spots and four radio spots during the game, which will air on ESPN’s cable TV and radio networks.

Bowl-themed newspaper ads with coupons support the launch in southern California. The bowl game itself—between UCLA and USC—gets TV, radio, print and online support in and around San Francisco.
