Coty, Inc. has signed a global licensing deal with Grammy winner Gwen Stefani to develop and market a line of fragrances for her fashion and accessories brand, L.A.M.B.

The deal marks Stefani’s entrance into the fragrance market.

The yet-to-be-named fragrance will debut in fall 2007.

“Creating a fragrance is one of the most prestigious things a designer can do,” Stefani said in a statement. “For me it’s like another thing you can wear and another thing I can creatively be a part of.”

Stefani will work closely with Coty on packaging, bottle design and scent to help capture her spirit and style, the company said.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Coty has annual net sales of $2.9 billion. The company’s brand portfolio includes Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, Vera Wang, Desperate Housewives, Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker.
