Veteran’s Day

Eastman Kodak has reworked its Veterans Day promotion, staged for the fifth year at Wal-Mart stores around the country, to recognize both veterans and active-duty troops.

Called “Show Your Support with a Yellow Picture Ribbon,” the promotion invites Wal-Mart customers to bring a photo of their favorite veteran or current service member into Wal-Mart. They then make a complimentary sheet of enlargements and reprints on Kodak equipment. One 5″ x 7″ print is inserted in a photo holder and mounted around a special “Wall of Heroes” banner in the store for passing customers to see. A wallet-sized reprint is attached to a yellow ribbon photo holder that customers can wear or display to honor their veteran.

The yellow ribbon graphic taps into the now-popular practice of Americans displaying yellow ribbons to honor our troops.

The promotion will run from late October through Veterans Day, on Nov. 11. Idea Connections, Rochester, NY, executes.
