Infographic: Facebook vs. Pinterest for Marketing

BloomReach, a cloud marketing platform, has put together an infographic comparing Facebook and Pinterest for reaching marketing goals. According to The CMO Survey, CMOs spend 8.4 percent of their marketing budgets on social media. In the next five years, that number is expected to rise 21.6 percent.

Here are some of the interesting findings from BloomReach’s analysis from Sept. 20 through Dec. 31, 2012:

  • Pinterest traffic converted to sales 22 percent more than Facebook traffic
  • Facebook traffic bounced 90 percent of the time, while Pinterest traffic bounced 75 percent of the time
  • Pinterest traffic spent 60 percent more than Facbook traffic
  • Facebook drove seven times more traffic
