Dunkin’ Donuts is going all out, using its vast customer base and social media as a way to engage its loyal fans for Valentine’s Day.

It is running an Instagram promotion for fans to post their love story with the hashtag #DunkinLoveContest for the chance at a year’s worth of free coffee and donuts, as well as $2,500 for an “extra sweet” Valentine’s Day gift.

Dunkin' DonutsA musical performance by pop twosome Us The Duo, will take place Feb. 13 at 7 pm on Facebook Live. The duo has millions of social followers and will perform their original song, “Stop Just Love.”

A new iMessage Card Builder lets users create custom Valentine’s Day cards add a DD branded sticker and send it off via iMessage. Another new social tool is the emoji keyboard in the Dunkin’ App. Add to that two Snapchat geofilters and you have a sweet package of marketing fun.

And, of course, there are heart-shaped donuts and special coffee flavors like Fudge Brownie Swirl and Vanilla Cupcake Swirl.
