Zizzle Pushes New Button Maker Via Sweepstakes

Toy developer Zizzle is promoting a new toy with chances to win the device.

Two separate sweepstakes offer Spotz Maker, a button-maker, as prizes. The device targets tween girls who create personalize plastic buttons with photos and designs to collect and wear.

One sweeps, in partnership with Nickelodeon, can be entered at Spotzsweeps.com for a chance to win one of 100 of the devices. One grand-prize winner gets a slumber party with Spotz Makers and accessories. The promotion runs through Sept. 1. And at Zizzle.com a sweeps offers the first 100 girls to enter a Spotz Maker.

The buttons are made by uploading an image to the Spotz Design Studio at Spotzgirl.com, or by choosing from hundreds of designs featured there. Girls then edit the image by adding color and text and print the Spotz, which is then used in the device to make the button.

The product, which retails for $25 and accessories for $6 and up, are now hitting store shelves. The toy is Zizzle’s first entry into the tween girl market.

Zizzle is promoting Spotz on Nick.com and Disney.com, where girls can make Spotz featuring characters from the properties.

The sweepstakes are being handled in-house. Online marketing supports the promotions.
