L.L. Bean, the cataloger based in Freeport, ME, has named Christopher McCormick to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. In this capacity, he will oversee the brand and merchandising efforts of L.L. Bean’s catalog marketing and e-commerce divisions. He moves up from senior vice president of the L.L. Bean women’s business, he was in charge of advertising and direct marketing.
