Tyco Hires GE Vet for New Ad Position

Tyco International Ltd. has hired General Electric Co. veteran James Harman to an executive post created for advertising and branding.

Harman, 48, will oversee marketing, advertising, identity and reputation and brand management, the company said.

Harman was responsible for the former GE ad campaign featuring the slogan “We bring good things to Life.”

Alleged theft and corruption have battered Tyco’s reputation. Trials of former CEO Dennis Kozlowski and Former CFO Mark Swartz begin Monday.
