SOPRANO STARS SUE BEST BUY

Eight cast members of “The Sopranos” sued Best Buy over an ad with their photos, which the cast members say were used without their permission. The newspaper insert, headlined “Call the Boys,” offered a $25 gift card, three months of HBO and Cinemax for free, and a DirecTV satellite-dish system for $49.99 (after mail-in rebate). The copy read, in part, “They got all the shows a guy wants, plus ‘The Sopranos.’ What, you got a problem with that?” The suits were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. Best Buy, Eden Prairie, MN, won’t comment on pending litigation.
