Pokémon USA, Inc has promoted Matthew Uppenbrink to the newly created position of director of licensing.
He is responsible for growing the consumer products licensing programs for the Pokémon brand, which includes feature movies, the animated TV series, video games, trading cards and a roster of more than 40 licensees and manufacturers.
In a related development, the company has hired Lynn Kastin to manage all licensing categories for North America, Latin America and Australia. Most recently, she worked for Sesame Workshop and handled product development for Sesame Street, Dragon Tales and Sagwa in the consumer products division.
