Playboy Enterprises Inc., based in Chicago, has named Alex Mironovich as president of its publishing group and executive vice president of the firm, effective Feb. 1. In this role, he will be responsible for the magazine and extensions of the Playboy brand, such as books, newsstand specials, and calendars. He comes from Meredith Corp., where he most recently was publisher of Better Homes and Gardens.
