Papa John’s and Live Nation Announce Multi-Year Partnership

Pizza will be prominently offered at rock concert concessions throughout the country as the result of a multi-year sponsorship and marketing agreement between Papa John’s and Live Nation.

Under the agreement, Papa John’s is designated the “Official Pizza of Live Nation,” with its products to be sold in up to 24 Live Nation outdoor concert amphitheaters this year. An additional 11 locations are expected over the next three years, the companies said.

The deal also calls for joint marketing and promotional efforts, including in-venue distribution of promotional materials and online marketing initiatives by the two brands.

Live Nation is the world’s largest live music promoter, while Papa John’s is the world’s third largest pizza company.

“This partnership will allow us to reach millions of consumers attending some of the year’s biggest concerts,” said Bill Van Epps, Papa John’s president USA, in a statement.

A variety of artists will perform this year at Live Nation amphitheaters nationwide, including Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band, Rush and Brad Paisley.

Russell Wallach, Live Nation’s president of alliances, said his company is “looking forward to working with the Papa John’s team in the development of additional promotional opportunities in the future.”
