SWEET SUCCESS: has signed a three-year promotion and licensing agreement with TV producer Mark Burnett to feature the nutritional, meal replacement beverage drink in product placement deals in a Burnett show this fall. One of the shows, which has yet to be named, will feature the product as its main theme. Burnett produces reality show hits including Survivor, The Apprentice and this fall will debut The Apprentice: Martha Stewart.

NEWS AMERICA MARKETING: New York, promoted Alan Verdun to executive VP-sales, Eastern region. He had been senior VP-Southern region. Verdun will supervise 90 sales staffers in five offices, and oversee News America’s New York-based Direct Response division.

WORLD MARKETING: Omaha, NE, has adopted the World Marketing name for seven of its direct-marketing operating companies. The network handles database, production and fulfillment for clients including American Airlines, Universal Music and Omaha Steaks. The divisions drop their current names: ACE Marketing, Atlanta; LEE Marketing, Dallas; The Rylander Co. and MailTech, both Chicago; Total Fulfillment, Phoenix; Diversified Direct, Los Angeles; and World Technologies, Omaha. MBS, New York, becomes MBS-A World Marketing Partner.
