VOLVO CARS OF NORTH AMERICA: is giving consumers a chance to vote for real-life heroes in its fifth annual Volvo for Life Awards. Volvo has selected five top heroes from every state and published all 250 of their stories online at VolvoForLifeAwards.com. Volvo is inviting consumers to serve as one of the award’s judges. Through Feb. 4, 2007, the American public can visit the Web site, read the stories and cast their votes in categories such as safety, quality of life and environment. On April 4, 2007, Volvo will fly the winning heroes to New York, to be honored at the 5th Anniversary Awards Gala by Volvo. Volvo will reveal which of three top heroes is also the winner of the grand award of a Volvo for life—a lease on a new Volvo every three years for the rest of their lives. Winners also receive a $50,000 charitable contribution from Volvo while finalists receive a $25,000 contribution.
