It’s hard to feel sorry for the people who were sacked for these breaches of trust. Reporters get fired for making up stories. Why not publishers and circ directors? And these cases seem to especially cry out for it.
Advertisers alleged in a lawsuit, for example, that Newsday staffers used an in-house computer program known as
