Australian agency iLeo took the top award in this year’s Echo Awards, presented earlier today.
The McMahons Point-based firm won the Diamond Echo for the “Plastic Surgery” launch campaign for client Virgin Money of Sydney. The agency also took home a gold Echo for the effort, in the consumer financial products & services/multimedia/integrated media category.
From a field of 1,077 entries, the 2004 Echos honored 89 direct and interactive marketing agencies and their clients with 14 Gold, 33 Silver, and 37 Bronze Awards and 5 special awards.
The Digital Echo went to True North Inc. of New York for the “Science Quiz” campaign for their client Discover magazine. Gillespie Healthcare, a McCann Erickson WorldGroup company based in Lawrenceville, NJ, was awarded the Broadcast Echo for Reach Access campaign for Johnson & Johnson.
The Gold Mailbox award went to DVN of Gent, Belgium for “Flanders Holiday Country Keeps Amazing You,” created for Toerisme Vlaanderen, the Flemish Tourist Board, of Brussels, Belgium. DVN also won a Gold Echo in the travel & hospitality/transportation/flat/dimensional mail category. Clemenger BBDO of Wellington, New Zealand received the Henry Hoke Award for the “Dunlop Direzza Type Launch” business-to-business campaign for its client, Dunlop of Wellington, New Zealand.
