Las Vegas Food and Beverage Magazine Sticks With IdeaList

Las Vegas Food and Beverage Magazine (LVFBM) has decided to keep its list management account at IdeaList Co., based in Waterbury, CT, despite efforts by a former co-owner of IdeaList lure accounts away.

“The LVFBM, Metro DC Food and Beverage and the Professional MegaSource lists are staying with the IdeaList Co, until Barbara Stanley is in a better position to increase our sales revenue through list sales,” said list owner Michael Poltz, CEO of Las Vegas Food and Beverage Magazine, in an e-mail to IdeaList’s president Ben Frutos.

Stanley co-owned IdeaList with Frutos until recently, when she left to start a new firm–Stanley Marketing Solutions, based in Chesterton, IN. Last week, Stanley said several list accounts from IdeaList would follow her. (Newsline, April 18).

Data cards from Stanley were distributed for the Wine Country Network; Las Vegas and Metro DC food and beverage files via NextMark that announced a change in management on April 14. A press release also stated that Stanley had taken over management of the LVFBM, Metro DC Food and Beverage Monthly, Food and Beverage master file and the Wine Country Network lists from IdeaList.

As it turns out, only Wine Country Network Inc. has confirmed transferring management of one file to Stanley Marketing.

On Monday, Stanley said it had been her understanding that she had secured the LVFBM account and that she needed to work out details with a service bureau. She conceded that the client changed its mind and decided to stay with IdeaList. “Something interesting happened there, but, oh well,” she said in an e-mail.
