Jos. A. Bank Clothiers, Inc. reported net income of $2.2 million for its first quarter, up from $1.7 million last year.
The cataloger and retailer’s total sales were $62.3 million for the quarter ended May 3, up 11.6% to from $55.8 million last year.
“We are pleased to continue our trend of record earnings despite having to deal with a difficult retail environment that was negatively affected by snowstorms early in the quarter, as well as the war in Iraq,” said Robert N. Wildrick, CEO of the Hampstead, MD firm in a statement.
