JCPenney has named Ruby Anik as senior vice president and director of brand marketing.
In her new role, Anik will oversee the development and execution of the company’s brand marketing strategy. The post takes effect Nov. 26. She will report to Mike Boylson, JCPenney’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer.
This is a new position, the company said.
Anik joins JCPenney from Best Buy, where she recently worked as senior vice president, marketing communications and business operations. There, she oversaw all marketing communications disciplines for Best Buy, including PR, internal communications, event marketing, advertising strategy, advertising spending and creative development and execution throughout North America. She also led Best Buy’s in-house agency, Best Buy Advertising.
Prior to that, Anik worked as director of advertising and media for The Pillsbury Co. where she had oversaw the media budget and media research, strategy, planning and execution for the company for three years. She previously held positions at Euro RSCG Tatham and Young & Rubicam Advertising.
